Project Runway and Sarah Palin...

My Wednesday night viewing...

I have no idea how tanned Blaine scooted through once again with this outfit...horrible and Marlene Dietrich would never wear those "shorts"!!
And I'll be sorry to see the daughter of Cher and Penny Marshall gone...
didn't love her style but she was fun to watch...

And the winning outfit was fabulous...you should see it without the jacket...big comeback for Leeann once again...

Now onto the other news from Wednesday night...

Sarah Palin gave a good speech don't you think?
Mr Q is no convert and disagrees with most of her very conservative, right wing views,
but she did hit all the right notes...
She was confident, introduced her "typical and fallible" American family including a special needs child, a son off to join the military, and her wonderful husband of 20 years...

And then off to tough, snarky and pointed comments on her experience compared to Obama...she did a good job of sucking up to "working" Americans...drilling for oil and tax relief...points everyone loves to hear...

All in all a well-written speech and well delivered...

Obama and Biden need to take her seriously...she's going to appeal to a lot of people...

yeah, I thought Palin's speech was very solid. She was able to go on the offensive against her opponents while maintaining some class because she used humor. Giuliani on the other hand, wow, if I closed my eyes I would have thought Jerry Springer was giving the speech and mixing in a few 9-11 references. Very trashy...

Back to Palin, while I thought she delivered her speech well... there are definitely some half truths in there. She loves to say she's a reformer that eliminates waste citing that she said no to the 'Bridge to Nowhere'. That's only part of the story. Alaska did terminate the bridge project - but the state KEPT THE FEDERAL MONEY! Easy to balance a small state's budget (small pop, not area) when you design yourself a $400 million dollar windfall.

Agreed - Giuliani was an embarrassment...what I saw anyway...

And although I do think Ms Palin gave a good speech, once(if?)people focus on the issues, they'll find she's far, far right of most Americans...and that's not going to help McCain's campaign...

No one wants four more years of Bush/Cheney in Tina Fey drag...do they?
